2013 Knoxville City Championship
FM Peter Bereolos won the 2013 Knoxville City Chess Championship with a perfect score of 5-0.
Benjamin Elliott finished in second place with 3.5-1.5.
The prizes were donated by Benjamin Elliott and Douglas Forsythe.
2013 Knoxville Amateur Championship
Brad Phillis won the 2013 Knoxville Amateur Chess Championship with a perfect score of 4-0. Jason Shaw finished in second place with a score of 3-1. The tournament was for players Rated under "2000".
The prizes were donated by FM Peter Bereolos.
February 20, 2014 Five-Minute Tournament
USCF Expert Andrew Crigger won, with a score of 5.5-.5. Jason Shaw finished second, scoring 5-1.
The "under-1500" prize was split between Kipp Bynum, Emory Swanger, and Kevin Swanger, who finished with 3-3.
The tournament was USCF Blitz Rated, and the time control was Game in 5-minutes. Prizes were donated by Andrew Crigger.
February 27, 2014 Quick-Chess Tournament (G/11)
Haskell Glover won, scoring 4-0. The Under "1300" prize was won by Matthew Swanger with 3-1. The prizes were donated by Benjamin Elliott and Douglas Forsythe.
FREE USCF-Rated Chess Games
GKCC member DOUGLAS FORSYTHE wants to play chess with you. He wants to play USCF-Rated games in the Knoxville area, at any time control from G/5 to G/30 inclusive. He would like to play you a match of several games, in one session.

May 2008 Oak Ridge Chess Event
Greater Knoxville Chess Club members Leonard Dickerson and Keith Eatherly helped man the chess table at an all night lockdown for graduating Seniors of Oak Ridge High School.
