2012 Knoxville City Championship
FM Pete Bereolos won the 2012 Knoxville City Chess Championship with a perfect score of 5-0.
Robert Hydzik and David Mueller tied for second place with 3-2.
The prizes were donated by Douglas Forsythe.
October 10, 2013 Thematic Opening Tournament
Haskell Glover and Kipp Bynum tied for first. All the games had to open with 1.f4 (Bird's Opening).Time control was G/10. The prize was donated by FM Pete Bereolos.
October 17, 2013 Five-Minute Tournament
Andrew Crigger won, with a score of 7-1.The tournament was USCF Rated, and the time control was Game in 5-minutes. The prize was donated by Douglas Forsythe.
FREE USCF-Rated Chess Games
GKCC member DOUGLAS FORSYTHE wants to play chess with you. He wants to play USCF-Rated games in the Knoxville area, at any time control from G/5 to G/30 inclusive. He would like to play you a match of several games, in one session.

Greater Knoxville Chess Club members Leonard Dickerson and Keith Eatherly helped man the chess table at an all night lockdown for graduating Seniors of Oak Ridge High School.
