Knoxville City Championship

Fide Master Pete Bereolos has won the 2008 Knoxville City Chess Championship.

The 2008 Knoxville Amateur Championship, open to everybody Rated under "2000", was won by Robert Cavalletto, Robert Hydzik, and Chase Philips, who will share the title as Co-Champions.


May 2008 Oak Ridge Chess Event

Greater Knoxville Chess Club members Leonard Dickerson and Keith Eatherly helped man the chess table at an all night lockdown for graduating Seniors of Oak Ridge High School.

June 2009 Quick-Chess Tournament

Corry Marsh won the tournament — an eleven-player USCF Rated Swiss with a seven-minute time control — with a perfect 4-0 score.

Robert Cavalletto took second place with 3-1; Bob Hydzik and Chase Philips tied for third place with 2.5-1.5.
