The chess club meets every Thursday from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M.

Casual Games are always available — regardless of what event is scheduled

January 2012

• 4 - Round, USCF Rated Swiss. Play one game a week, on the Thursday nights in January.
• Entry Fee: $10.
• USCF and GKCC memberships required; can be purchased at the tournament.
• Registration is on 1/5/2012 from 6:00-6:25 PM. Games will commence a few minutes after registration.
• Time Control: Each clock is set individually, based on the actual starting time of the game. The most common time control is G/85, but it can vary from G/110 to G/61. Time Delay: 5-seconds.

February 2012

• Entry: $10.
• 4-round, USCF Rated Swiss.
• USCF and GKCC memberships required, can be purchased at the tournament.
• Registration is on 2/9/2012 from 6:30-7:00 PM. The tournament will commence a few minutes after registration.
• Time Limit: game in 10 minutes. Time Delay: 3 seconds.

• The player who scores the most points, cumulatively, in the five Quick-Chess tournaments that we will hold in 2012 -- this one, held on February 9, and the others that will be held in April, June, August, and September -- will qualify to play in the 2012 Knoxville City Championship.
  

5-Minute Tournament
Thursday February 16, 2012 — 6:30 PM

• Entry: $10.
• Round-robin.
• NOT USCF Rated. No memberships are required. Everybody is welcome to enter.
• Registration is on 2/16/2012 from 6:30-7:00 PM. The tournament will commence a few minutes after registration.
• Time Limit: Game/5. NO time delay.
