The GKCC meets at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church

We meet from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. every Thursday.

Club Membership

Only members are eligible to play in our Rated club tournaments.

Membership Fees:

Adult — $20 / year

Under 12 — $10 / year

Family Junior Membership (two or more children under 18, from the same family, joining the club on the same day) — $10 / year each child

Club Events

Casual Games are always available — regardless of what event is scheduled

USCF Rated Swiss Tournaments begin on the first Thursdays of January, March, May, July, September, and November, and run for four Thursdays.

The Knoxville City Chess Championship and Amateur Championship are held at the club every November, starting on the first Thursday of the month.

One-day USCF Rated Speed-Chess tournaments are held at the club on the second and third Thursdays of February, April, June, August, and October.
